The Scientific Computing Department (SCD) is the UK's premier provider of world class computing solutions to support world class scientific research within STFC, the UK and internationally.

We are currently recruiting a Partnership Manager to work within the Data Division of SCD and in particular to work with the DAFNI Facility. This role will support the development of the community for DAFNI, develop and engage in outreach events, explore and develop Partnerships and look for opportunities to promote DAFNI to the wider community.

The aim of DAFNI is to provide new data intensive hardware and software platform to accelerate significant new advances in infrastructure system modelling, simulation and visualisation research. DAFNI is the first of its kind in the UK and globally dedicated to complex infrastructure systems research using advanced computational techniques for the research community. The community is multidisciplinary by nature, comprising of disciplinary specialists from geography, civil engineering, scientific computing and environment science and engineering. The DAFNI consortium is led by University of Oxford and comprises of 12 founding members, including STFC.

About the Role:

• Work with SCD's Business Development Manager and DAFNI project leadership to design, implement and manage a partnership programme;
• Manage contacts with current and new stakeholders in academia, government, and industry;
• Deliver externally facing meetings, workshops, and conferences;
• Organise and coordinate the engagement deliverables of the DAFNI programme and with partners;
• Develop communication materials and channels to implement communication strategies, coordinating the work of our project team and third-party service providers to produce communication material.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

• Ability to work confidently with specialists, academics and industrialists;
• Self-motivation and drive;
• Excellent communication skills, including report compilation, writing and web communication.
