Job Details

Breakthrough technology is vital for strengthening the UK’s Defence & Homeland Security. As an Electronics Engineer at Awerian, you will be at the forefront of this innovation race by helping to defend and protect the UK from the latest technological and cyber threats.

Your work will have a real-world impact. You will get to explore pioneering concepts by collaborating with elite multi-disciplinary teams of highly educated and skilled scientists, engineers, and designers. It’s a fantastically challenging, varied and agile role. You’ll see ideas become a reality as you create prototypes through Awerian’s rapid approach to design and implementation.

Your problem-solving skills will be enhanced as you tackle complex electronics engineering challenges that test your excellent understanding of engineering fundamentals and physical principles beyond pure electronics.

The projects are cutting-edge and cover areas such as high-speed digital electronic design, RF and microwave electronics, antennas, power electronics, analogue electronics, and PCB technologies. You may have expertise in one or more of these areas or be interested in developing further capability with us. There will also be scope to develop FPGA firmware (VHDL/Verilog), embedded software and algorithms if that takes your interest.

Every day, you’ll be operating at the boundary of technological exploration by inventing new solutions and enhancing existing hardware. Typically, this will involve analysis, computational modelling, prototype design, invention, laboratory testing, process development, and manufacturing.
