The Center for Particle Cosmology at the University of Pennsylvania invites applications for postdoctoral fellowships to begin September 2025.
The fellowships are in theoretical particle cosmology, broadly interpreted, ranging from the formal to the phenomenological sides of the field. The successful candidates will have interests that overlap significantly with those of Profs. Hayden Lee, Mark Trodden and Justin Khoury, but will be free to work on topics of their choices, and encouraged to collaborate with other students, postdocs and faculty at Penn. The Center for Particle Cosmology spans a broad swath of theoretical physics, ranging from theoretical astrophysics to high energy theory. We also have a lively experimental program in cosmology and particle physics, with involvement in the Simons Observatory, DES, the Rubin Observatory, other galaxy and CMB surveys and particle physics experiments with Penn leadership. More information on the research activities of the Center is available at https://particlecosmo.sas.upenn.edu .
The initial appointments are for one year, renewable up to three years, and offer competitive salary, benefits, and research allowance. Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, brief description of research interests, and arrange for three letters of reference to be submitted to Academic Jobs Online at
https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/28555
Consideration of applications will begin on Dec. 1, 2024.
The University of Pennsylvania is an EOE. Minorities/Women/Individuals with disabilities/Protected Veterans are encouraged to apply.
