Post-Doc senior research grant in experimental physics

The INFN Italian Institute of Nuclear Physics has opened 20 post-doctoral senior research grants in experimental physics, reserved for non-italian citizens. Each research grants is issued for two years.

A position is available at the LNF National Laboratories of Frascati.

LNF is involved in several high energy physics experiments based at CERN.

One of the most challenging project is the construction of the new Inner Tracker (ITk) for the ATLAS experiments for the High Luminosity Phase,
where the ATLAS LNF group is responsible for the assembly and commissioning of one pixel outer endcap.

There is a wide range of activities where the candidate could have a strong impact: testing silicon modules, developing the data acquisition and the detector control system, testing and commissioning large systems.

A fraction of time dedicated to physics analysis and/or reconstruction is welcome.

We search for a highly motivated researcher, able to work in team and in large intentional collaborations.
