Job description:
The Department of Particle Physics at the Institute of Nuclear Physics (INP) Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) in Krakow has an opening for a 2 year post-doc position in theoretical particle physics.
Applicants should have experience in particle physics phenomenology and collider physics; a preference will be given to candidates with a special interest in QCD, higher order calculations, Monte Carlo methods and statistical modeling. The successful candidate will be expected to work primarily on a project related to parton distribution functions in proton and nuclei.
Department of Particle Physics at INP PAN:
The Department of Particle Physics ( https://th.ifj.edu.pl/doku.php/nz42:home ) currently consist of eight staff members, two postdocs and three PhD students. The main interest of the group is QCD and QED with topics including Monte Carlo generators, higher order calculations, parton distributions, small-x and elements of heavy-ion physics.
