The Department of Physics at Hampton University invites applications for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in theoretical High Energy/Nuclear Physics to begin in fall 2025. This position is a temporary annual position with eligibility for promotion to tenure-track. Successful applicants will have demonstrated excellence in teaching, a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate education, and a well-developed plan to establish an active research program with student involvement.

The reference letters should comment on the applicant’s ability to establish an externally funded research program as well as teaching experiences.
