Position Overview:

The Department of Physics at Tongji University invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow position in theoretical nuclear physics. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a leading research group with a broad range of interests in nuclear physics. Research Focus:

The group's research encompasses various topics within theoretical nuclear physics, including but not limited to:

- Nuclear physics near the neutron- and proton-drip lines

- Halo nuclei and direct reactions

- Nuclear structure, including alpha decay, alpha clustering, halo nuclei, and superheavy nuclei

Methodologies:

The research employs a variety of advanced techniques, such as:

- Ab-initio nuclear theory, including both nuclear reaction and nuclear structure

- Few body techniques such as the Faddeev Equation and Continuum Discretized Coupled Channels (CDCC) method

Qualifications:

- Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in physics or anticipate having a Ph.D. before joining us.

- A strong research record in nuclear physics is essential.

- Expertise in nuclear reaction is highly preferred.

- Candidates should demonstrate significant initiative and strong research skills.

Appointment Details:

- Initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal for up to two additional years based on funding and performance.

- Annual gross salary is approximately 300,000 RMB, with an additional bonus of up to 100,000 RMB depending on the Shanghai Super postdoc project, which the applicant should apply for after joining Tongji University.
