Master Details

The Master in Quantum Science & Technology combines the thriving research environment of the Department of Physics of the University of Bari Aldo Moro, with the enthusiastic participation of companies passionate about Quantum Science and Technologies. Our mission? To catalyse the creation of a dynamic and collaborative space, bridging the gap between academia and industry in the exciting realm of Quantum Technologies. The Department of Physics at the University of Bari has been recognized by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) as a Department of Excellence, ranking 3rd among all the departments of Physics in Italy and the only one located south of Rome, thanks to QUASIMODO project: Quantum Sensing and Modelling for One Health.

Programme Summary

Our exciting program aligns with the pillars of the European Quantum Flagship Roadmap and offers a unique blend of flexibility and personalized learning. 

Here’s what you can expect:

  • 2 mandatory courses: Foundations of Quantum Information, Management;
  • 9 elective courses: Quantum Computing, Quantum Algorithms, Quantum Key Distribution, Quantum Communications & Networks, Fundamentals of machine and deep learning, Quantum Machine Learning, Quantum Sensing, Quantum Imaging, Atom-based Quantum Technologies;
  • 8 months of coursework and labs (approximately 15 hours/week);
  • 4-month internship focused on cutting-edge projects in partner companies* highly interested in hiring quantum technologists.

The university offers various courses for undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students. Aside from teaching, the university is also focused on scientific research at the doctorate level.
