I. Introduction:
Shandong Institute of Advanced Technology (SDIAT) is an international research institute in Shandong province of China. Its goal is to provide a facility for scientists and engineers to carry out advanced research and development in science and technology.
The Particle Physics Research Center of SDIAT is to perform large scale experimental research on particle physics and astro-particle physics. Its current main mission is to continue the long-term participation in the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer Experiment (AMS). The new Data Center with 30000 cores and 20 PB storage has recently been established as a major research platform for AMS worldwide scientists. A new laboratory is being developed to perform R&D of advanced detector and electronics for ground and space applications. In addition, we are also planning to propose new experiments to further explore the fundamental structures of matter and the origin of the universe.
II. Research Fields:
1. AMS physics analysis
(a) Dark matter and antimatter
(b) Origins of cosmic rays
(c) Outer space radiation and solar physics
2. Detector R&D
(a) Silicon detector
(b) Space electronics
III. Positions and requirements
We are opening positions for different career stages:
(1) Postdoctoral Research Associate
(2) Research Scientist (Track to Principle Research Scientist)
(3) Principle Research Scientist
(4) Senior Research Scientist
IV. Salary and Funding
The institute provides the internationally competent salary and startup funding.
In addition, the institute also provides housing, medical insurance, and assists to settle childcare and children’s education.
