The Elementary Particle Physics Group at the University of Warwick seeks to appoint an outstanding individual to join its research programme, working on the Deep Underground Neutrino experiment (DUNE). The Warwick group has a leading role in the development of algorithms to reconstruct neutrino interactions in liquid-argon time-projection chamber (LArTPC) detectors.
The research fellow will design and implement algorithms in the Pandora software framework, to reconstruct the complex neutrino interaction topologies anticipated at DUNE. There will be an emphasis on exploiting the latest machine-learning approaches and using novel Pandora pattern-recognition functionality. The work will form a vital part of the UK Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC)’s DUNE Reconstruction Software & Distributed Computing project.
