The division of theoretical physics at Bielefeld University has an opening for a 3+3 year fixed term position as academic researcher. We offer a full-time position at the standard LBesG A-13 level, with an initial appointment for 3 years and the possibility to extend for 3 further years. The starting date is flexible but should not be later than the fall of 2025.

The successful candidate will conduct research in the group of Prof. Dr. Sören Schlichting in projects on initial conditions and non-equilibrium dynamics of heavy-ion collisions, as well as their role in the description of collective dynamics, and contribute to the development of real-time methods and the description of dynamically critical behavior. Duties will also include participation in the teaching canon of theoretical physics (4 hours/week as lecturer or tutor) and supervision of Bachelor, Master and PhD students. We are looking for a dedicated and motivated scientist who will actively contribute to the scientific progress and management of the research group.
