Postdoctoral Research Associate - Karlsruhe Institute of Technology

The Institute of Experimental Particle Physics (ETP) at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) has an immediate opening for a junior postdoctoral research associate to work on the CMS experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. The position is initially for three years, with the possibility of an extension.

Applicants should have a doctorate in experimental particle physics and excellent skills in data analysis and programming. The selected candidate will make substantial contributions to CMS data analysis, preferably in the area of Higgs boson and top quark physics, will work closely with the group’s doctoral researchers and undergraduate students and contribute to teaching at the KIT Department of Physics.

KIT is committed to increasing the number of female researchers and women are especially encouraged to apply.

Recognized severely disabled persons will be given preference if equally qualified.

The position is to be filled immediately, but applications will be considered until the position is filled. To ensure full consideration, candidates should apply by July 31, 2024. Interested candidates should send a curriculum vitae, list of publications, and statement of research interests, and arrange for at least two letters of recommendation to be sent to:
