The Experimental High Energy Physics Group ( ) at the Humboldt-University of Berlin invites applications for a PhD position to pursue a PhD in physics. The position is funded for 3 years. The research will be within the LHCf Collaboration. It will be focusing on analysis and performance work.


Completed university degree in physics or a related field with a specialization in elementary particle physics, astroparticle physics or astrophysics with excellent grades; willingness to undertake research stays in Japan and at CERN; ability to work in a structured and independent manner; excellent problem-solving skills; excellent teamwork and communication skills; very good written and spoken English; experience in data analysis and programming; experience in dealing with statistical and Monte Carlo methods and GEANT4 is desirable; Applications should include a curriculum vitae, a brief research statement, and copies of diplomas.
