Closing date
23 Feb 2024

The INFN National Laboratories in Frascati (LNF) has an opening for a scientific or technological research position (Assegno di Ricerca)

for the development of perovskite pixel radiation detector

The INFN announcement is in where information on how to apply are described.

The deadline is the 8 March 2024.

The grant is funded by the MICROPEROV project. The goal of this project is to develop a pixelated device based on perovskite material, in form of micro wires, able to detect radiation. The results obtained in the project can pave the way to the realization of high-performance perovskite X-ray/gamma imaging sensors, and tracking detectors for charged particles.

Within the project, the candidate will

  • collaborate in a multi-disciplinar group with electronic engineers, material physicists expert in perovskite growth, and radiation detectors experts;
  • characterize the response of the detector prototypes;
  • perform data analysis and compare with modelling expectations and actively contribute to the design development.

The position is for 12 months and the gross salary is around 25 kE.

Applicants who are potentially interested in the position are encouraged
